Rootinn TOOTIN HALLOWEEn

This year for Halloween we carved each of our pumpkins we got from Ditmars- I tried to carve Minnie Mouse, but discovered I'm not the best at carving :-) We all had fun though and Laine and Amy really liked when we lit them up in the dark. As for costumes this year we ALL dressed up... I'm bummed though because Chad never gets dressed up and I got him to do it this year, but failed to take a picture. Chad was a tooth- it was just two white poster boards that he drew the anatomy of a tooth on (funny side note- at our trunk-o-treat in our ward all the dental students were all talking about what tooth it was- I didn't know). I was a tooth fairy to go with Chad and Laine was Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Amy was a very cute Cinderella.   We also got to go visit the dental school for their annual Halloween trick or treat.  It was a good time visiting daddy's school.

Fall Time is HERE

I LOVE FALL- maybe it's a good thing my name is Autumn :-) It's so nice to have it be a little less humid, and feel the crisp air here, with the leaves falling all around.  Not too far from our house is an orchard called Ditmar's where you can go play, pick pumpkins and of course get homemade donuts and other things. This year we used a groupon and rode on a wagon to go pick our pumpkins and the kids seemed to really like that. They loved picking out their own pumpkins- Laine kept wanting a gord and Amy just wanted a "baby" one. It was so fun to spend some family time outside! I just can't get enough of fall. It's funny that I love Fall so much because Chad is typically missing half of our Saturdays out hunting, but he loves it and is usually back by noon so we don't mind. Yay for Fall!

A Beautiful Heartbreak

Im not sure how to start... I feel so blessed to have the family and faith that I know and love. My kids are so cute and wonderful and Chad is everything I've dreamed about and more. We just found out about another treasured girl that will be entering our family- she won't be staying long because she has Trisomy 18. We love her and are excited to have her in our family for forever. It is hard to think about, but we wouldn't trade her or this experience for anything. We love her already!

Joy School

This year Laine has been attending Joy School and been having a blast learning his letters and singing songs. I have the opportunity to teach it every third week, but it is super fun how excited Nora, Laine and Olivia get to learn new things.
