Life in the Heat

Life is going great here. The kids and I take walks just about every day and it's finally such a pleasant temperature outside we walk to parks and stay in the sun. Typically it's high 60's here, but we still walk to stores and "borrow" the toys while were there and then leave back home to play with our own toys. What a life, eh? Oh... also since we've moved here I've taken to highlighting my hair on my own... each time is certainly a new experience, but nothing terrible yet.

Turkey Trot

The poor Christiansen's were persuaded into doing a few of my families traditions. Luckily they went smoothly and were pretty fun. First we all played a game of Family volleyball with another family from the ward and a few friends. Then we woke-up the next morning for Thanksgiving and ran what we like to call, The Turkey Trot, which is a 5k. The winner of the runners was James and Bart came in first for the walkers. Cool side-note on out Turkey-Trot we actually ran into a few wild Turkeys!

ThanksGiving

Thanksgiving was super fun as we were able to go to Chad's parents house and everyone was there! It was the last time all of us will be together for a while, because John will be leaving on a mission to Brazil in the beginning of February. We had fun playing games and shopping, but most of all "hanging-out" and feasting! Also, Laine had a birthday while we were there. Our little man is now 2! Boy am I glad he is our little/BIG boy... I couldn't have asked for a better son! I am so thankful for Families and I sure do love mine.

Halloween

It sure was fun this year having our little Laine go trick or treating.  It was definitely something amazing and beyond understanding to him that if you just spoke a couple of words that people would just hand over candy.  Pretty fun to watch.  We dressed up the kids and took them to the ward trunk or treat Halloween party.  It was a good time.  We love our cute kids.  Laine was a doctor, and Amy was a sleeping princess.

Hallows-Eve?

Halloween was great fun! Laine was a Surgeon, and Amy was a... sleeping beauty- well for the first half the night, but really was a stinkin' cute Snow White. First we had a ward party that Chad was able to attend with us and we "trunk-or-treated." Then on actual Halloween night the kids and I went out trick-or-treating with some friends while Chad was a school... Thanks Daddy!
