Every Day2Day

We seem to have lots of "smells" going on around our house... so lighting candles is a regular. Laine loves to blow them out and Amy just loves to try and touch them. Among our other favorites are building tall towers with blocks and destroying them. One night while cleaning up after the kids were in bed I had Chad help me build some towers for Laine to wake up to and destroy.  You should have seen his eyes light up when he walked out of his bedroom the next morning to our creations.  We still tend to take baths a lot and it definitely is still in the top favorite activities.  Thanks also to Great Grandpa/Grandma N. for our wooden chairs that my kids love to sit on.  Thanks also to Grandpa P for the dogloos...=)

Going Potty Rocks

Laine loves to go potty and get a treat afterward. He has been going pee in his potty during the day now for a little under a week with no problems, HURRAY! At first I was giving him candy after every time he went pee in his little "dino-poty" (yes it's a frog, but we like dine-o-saurs around here) but began to run out of candy fast as he mastered it quickly. He loves to tell me he has to go potty and then we run in and he Goes! So far this has been a pleasant experience, but I did have to do the "Chart" thing so I could keep up with the prizes. Now he gets to go three times and put 3 shapes on his chart before he gets to pick a prize from his box. I'm not too hopeful, but this has been a super nice week and he now wears Pull-Ups! Mommy Wow he's a big boy now!

I Need You Boo

Laine and Amy are so funny together. Laine can get Amy rolling with laughter sometimes, but does get  annoyed with her occasionally. Lately Laine has been calling Amy "boo" we're not sure why.  He knows her name is Amy if you ask him but while they're playing together,  common phrases of...
"come on boo"
 "hey boo hey"
"go away boo"
are directed right to Amy :-).  Most the time she's the one that's a little dramatic and gets annoyed of Laine and enjoys screaming for help before Laine even gets to her... Needless to say she's a little bit more of the trouble maker. Both my kids are so sweet and easy going for the most part that a little teasing here and there is good for them. This castle was a present we got for Christmas from Heather's Family (sister) and boy is it a hit! First at my mom's house all the kids were fighting over it and even had 6 of the grand-kids in it eating popcorn at one point. We sure do love our castle, but the arguing and getting frustrated seems to continue here at our house... so I get to play referee a little bit. *As a side note- my kids love those applesauce packets. Oh, and Laine took the picture of his toys by himself.

bEFORE the Christmas

Since we flew to Washington for Christmas we knew we wouldn't have a lot of room to bring presents there and back so we opened a few before we left. It seems that these are the only pictures we really took, but Chad and I both opened some running Nike shoes and I got some new clothes, THANKS! Chad got a wonderful remote control Aston Martin, which I'm sure he has always wanted (it's from me :-)... so he can play James Bond and speed+ dodge the kids while doing it!

I'll Be Home for Christmas

For Christmas we went to Washington to visit my family this year. It was filed with lots of fun and lots of Family! With all the cousins there Laine had lots of people to play with and Amy was certainly distracted by all the hub-bub. Going Hot-tubbing everyday would probably be Laine's highlight of the trip. Going to both the Great Grandparents places for Christmas and Christmas Eve was pretty fun and seeing everyone I haven't seen in forever was so fun. We also played lots of Rook and participated in a Tournament that Chad and I placed... Last in... better luck next time maybe? We were also able to go to a koi-pond and see EXPENSIVE fish. My parents were nice to take us to the Zoo and that was super fun even though it was rrr-rainy. One of the last things we did was go see a Train and Laine certainly loved that. Amy stayed in the car with my Mom and my Dad took the pictures. The whole trip was so fun and it's hard to get back to living normal life...
